Givex® Acquires POS Canada in Strategic Move to Rapidly Expand Vexilor™ Point-of-Sale Platform

Gift Card and Loyalty Leader to Further Expand Advanced POS Market Share, U.S. and Canadian Customer Base 

 

TORONTO, ON – Givex®, the global cloud-based customer engagement solution provider that integrates point-of-sale (POS) innovation with best-in-class loyalty and gift card options, has completed the acquisition of POS Canada, a leading full service POS hardware and software provider to the high-end corporate hospitality and retail sectors. The acquisition, finalized on July 31, 2017, will now provide POS Canada’s robust client base with access to Givex’s Vexilor™ POS system. Vexilor’s advanced Omni-channel platform serves as an end-to-end business management system for the restaurant and hospitality sectors.

 

POS Canada has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and retail POS solutions industry with dealers in each primary Canadian market anchored by a 24/7 call centre in Mississauga. The acquisition provides the perfect opportunity for Givex to further expand its development and support services on a national level for its rapidly growing POS solution.

POS Canada is proud to announce our recent partnership with Burrito Boyz to equip their stores with a fully customized Universal POS Solution to meet their unique operational needs. 

With the system already deployed at two of their bussiest stores with integrations to online ordering, loyalty, etc., Burrito Boyz is planning an aggressive rollout to all their locations in the next few months.

The Meltwich Food Company is set to open its 7th location in Etobicoke using PixelPoint POS from POS Canada.   This is a period of rapid expansion for this growing food empire with more locations to come in 2017.

Started by Tom Mavrou, a long time hospitality industry veteran, his “unrelenting love for the sammie” has seen the Meltwich Chain grow from an initial store in downtown Toronto.  Tom’s vision was to start humbly and build the finest grill cheese the world has ever tasted.

The Wacky Wings chain, a popular entertainment and eating destination, has opened its newest location in Thunder Bay with POS technology from POS Canada throughout the new building.   This is their 8th location continuing a fabulous success story of good food and good fun!​

The team at Wacky Wings installed PixelPoint POS on a combination of standard POS stations and mobile tablets.  Traditionally, only relying on fixed POS touchscreen terminals, they underwent exhaustive tablet testing in their Sault St Marie location and discovered mobile tablets reduced ordering times for the traditionally larger tables that tend to visit, and also resulted in extra rounds of drinks being ordered. 

They are also fully integrated with the PixelPoint enterprise solution which allows management to remotely manage all menu changes and updates, leverage a chain wide gift and loyalty program, and access all sales and operating reports from multiple locations from anywhere via a web browser.

POS Canada also deployed the QSR Automations kitchen video system, which underpins their entire food and beverage operation providing invaluable metrics while helping to ensure consistent and timely food and beverage service.  The solution is fully integrated with PixelPoint POS and coordinates 6 busy cooking stations and 2 bar stations to maximize quality and performance.  Other integrations to key technology is PixelPoint’s integration to their mobile pay at the table credit/debit processing for speedy guest payments.
